Craven Arms Learning Centres

" we're working together to make Craven Arms brighter"

Exciting times at the Community Centre

Craven Arms Community Centre is being refurbished, extended and improved

work will start June 2008 and be completed by November/December 2008

 

Improvements planned include a new

entrance/gallery space; new kitchen facilities; a community cafe;

new meeting rooms and offices.

The work is being funded by the Rural Regeneration Zone from Advantage West Midlands and European Regional Development Fund in conjunction with

the improvements currently taking place at the

Discovery Centre

Great Start for Face it project

Half term saw an exciting start to the Face it project.

Workshops ran over a three days with participants enjoying

a range of arts activities including paper sculpting; storytelling; collage and menhndi art.

Face It is a community arts project that aims to bring people of Craven Arms together and focus on shared hopes, dreams and memories.

It is a full year-long programme including a range of art forms, such as photography,

storytelling, visual arts , carnival arts and public arts/sculpure.

The Face it project has been developed by the Equalities & Diversity sub-group of the Craven Arms Area Partnership.
